What's In Your Garage
What's In Your Garage is our newest series that looks at family cars in a fresh new way. The idea of family transportation is as diverse as the modern family. Many families have more than one vehicle today taking the strain off of the requirements of a singular family module. Families, more now than ever, need to look beyond the normal avenues of transportation to find vehicles that truly meet their family’s needs as opposed to acquiring a new vehicle simply because it is perceived as appropriate “family” transportation. The propriety of your purchase is not found in what the neighbors think but in what fits your needs and requirements. With this in light we will bring you many possibilities that would look wonderful in your garage while providing the optimal choice for your clan. Now don't get us wrong we will be reviewing many minivans and SUV's, simply because for most families these have become indispensable tools to moving your loved ones from place to place. We will however temper these choices with alternatives that will give you some food for thought when choosing any of your future family vehicles. Now before we begin our first review we want to give you a little grist for your mill, as we will do before each of our What's In Your Garage reviews. This being our first nugget lets start at the beginning. When choosing the perfect family vehicle it is best to look at your particular needs. First and foremost, how many children you have, and what stage of life they are in will play a big determination in beginning your search. If you have a small family you may not really need anything larger than a mid size sedan. If your family is nearly grown it may fit your budget better to look past expensive SUV's and invest in two small compacts, one for you ,that you keep in one piece, and one that your aspiring drivers can "learn" on. Remember that it is your money and when you have to pay big dollars to fix a dented bumper on your Escalade you will begin to wonder why you didn’t think outside the normal parameters of family vehicle choices. Looking beyond the momentum of your past purchases and looking at your overall vehicular needs now and beyond will help you from loosing money down the road. Just heading to the dealer and buying another version of what you just had will not necessarily provide you or your family with the best overall choice. Now without further verbosity let’s get to our first What's In Your Garage........ The Nissan Murano
